Deep conditioning has never been easier!

I use my cordless Hair Therapy Wrap™ every week in the shower. Right before my shower, I heat it in the microwave and bring it into the bathroom with me. After cleansing my hair and applying my Phat Head deep conditioning treatment, I put my heat cap on and let it work its magic.

It is SUCH a pleasure to be able to deep condition my hair without being "plugged in". You can use your Cordless Conditioning Heat Cap as you watch TV, read, workout, prepare dinner, or lounge in the back yard.

Deep Conditioning with Heat

deep conditioning with heatIt takes approximately 20 minutes of sustained, gentle heat to thoroughly deep condition your hair.

In order for any deep conditioning treatment to be fully effective an external source of low and controlled heat* is needed to "open up" the cuticles of the hair, allowing the ingredients of the deep treatment to penetrate the cortex (center) of the hair shaft.

The Hair Therapy Wrap ™ Cordless Conditioning Heat Cap provides this essential gentle heat for up to 30 minutes.

* The low heat needed for a proper deep conditioning treatment is not at all damaging to the hair. It should not be confused with the high temperatures that are used to blow dry, flat iron or hot curl the hair for styling.

Hair Therapy Wrap Cordless Conditiong Heat CapGentle, sustained heat is needed for proper deep conditioning. It gradually lifts the cuticles on each hair strand so that your deep conditioner can reach the cortex.

Without heat, your deep conditioner cannot strengthen or nourish your hair becuase it cannot penetrate into the cortex.

Remember to let your hair cool down.

When you are done, remove your Hair Therapy Wrap™ and allow your hair to cool down for about 5 minutes. This step is very important: The cuticles of your hair are still raised from the heat so you must allow them to "close" to ensure that the nourishing ingredients from your deep conditioner stay inside the cortex.

Once your hair has cooled down, rinse out your deep conditioner and style as usual. Or if you'd like, you can leave your deep consitioner in your hair overnight and rinse it out in the morning.

Manufacturor's HEATING INSTRUCTIONS for the Hair Therapy Wrap ™

  • Microwave Method for an 1100 watts microwave
    • Because microwaves vary in power, you will need to find the correct heating time
      for your microwave carefully.
    • Put the gel packs into the hair wrap provided and then put the assembled HairTherapyWrap laying flat into the microwave oven.
    • Always heat the gel pack with the hair wrap provided together.
    • Never heat the gel pack alone by itself.
    • Heat the assembled Hair Therapy Wrap on high for 45 seconds (DO NOT EXCEED 45 SECONDS FOR ONE TIME HEATING).
    • Let it stand for 30 seconds, if more heat is necessary, try a further 10-15 seconds and repeat this 10-15 seconds heating a few times until correct temperature is
      reached. NO LONGER THAN 80 SECONDS TOTAL HEATING TIME.
    • For microwaves more or less than 1100 watts, you may adjust heating times by another 10-15 seconds up or down. Please proceed with caution.
    • Please be extra careful - the outside of the Hair Therapy Wrap may not feel hot, but the gel packs inside can be extremely hot.
    • Record the total heating time for future use.
  • Caution:
    • Never apply the heated gel packs directly to the skin.
    • Always heat the assembled HairTherapyWrap with the gel packs inside together.
    • Do not eat the gel packs.
    • Do not puncture the gel packs.
    • Please dispose gel packs once broken.
    • Used only as directed, keep out of reach of children
