Squalane for All Skin Types

All skin secretes sebum (oil), which provides a protective shield on the surface of the skin. When the perfect amount of sebum reaches the skin's surface, the result is balanced, hydrated and supple skin.

Overactive sebaceous (oil producing) glands cause an abundance of surface oil, while under active sebaceous glands result in skin that feels dry and parched. Environmental factors, harsh cleansers and an accumulation of dead skin cells that remain on the surface of the skin can result in a lack of sufficient oil on the skins surface. This leaves the skin unprotected and causes it to look and feel tight, flaky and dry.

Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated that squalane is nearly identical to our skins natural sebum. For this reason, it is rapidly absorbed by all skin types, without any residue or oiliness.

The entire Sunshine Squalane Collection was inspired by my pen pal and e-friend, Adrienne. Her screen name is "NoonDaySun" and I think of her as my "Sunshine" for many reasons. Thanks, Adrienne!
