Burnout Clean and Clear Zinc Oxide Sunblock, SPF 32 is oil free cream and provides complete broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection with no chalky whitening.

Why do I sell Burnout Sunblock specifically?

  • Because the single, most important thing you can do to prevent premature aging is to wear sunblock.
  • Because I think it's one of the best products out there.
  • It is made by a company that is dedicated to engineering sun safety and skin care products that truly work under all conditions. It was perfected to be used in rigorous surf and is ocean safe.
  • The Company proudly states that "All BurnOut products are put through rigorous Ocean Testing and quality control measures to ensure the most effective, highest quality suncare products available. BurnOut products are never tested on animals. Made in the U.S.A."

Consider this:

  • Hyperpigmentation is always worse during the summer months. In the summer, the sun's rays are more concentrated because of the angle that they strike the Earth. Even if you are not sunbathing, your typical activities may over expose you to UVA and UVB.

UVA verses UVB Protection:

Burnout Clean and Clear with Zinc Oxide
  • What does "UVA/UVB broad-spectrum protection" mean? Since sunscreen manufacturers will state that they offer"UVA/UVB" protection, consumers should at least be aware of what these terms mean and what service the products are providing. Broad-spectrum protection refers to wavelength. Basically, ultraviolet rays A & B have different wavelengths and they penetrate the atmosphere and our skin with a different intensity.
  • UVA sun rays make up the vast majority of ultraviolet light because they aren't absorbed by ozone. These rays penetrate deeply into the skin and produce the initial effects of sun tanning. UVB are less common and will not penetrate as deeply as UVA rays but yet they are considered the primary cause of sunburns and other serious skin conditions.
  • Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer and UV rays are responsible 90% of the time. UV rays don't just hit you once - they bounce off surfaces, like water, sand and even concrete sidewalks. Every sunburn puts you at a higher risk for skin cancer. Even if skin cancer is the worst case scenario, no one wants to age prematurely. No one wants wrinkles and no one wants dark spots. All of this is preventable.

What is the SPF Rating?

Burnout Clean and Clear - Ocean Tested - Perfected in the most rigorous surf
  • SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and it is a measure that is made under laboratory settings. The higher the SPF, the more protection the sunblock provides. Sunscreen SPF ratings are great for comparisons between differnet products. But when used outside the laboratory (i.e. in the real world), SPF protection varies based on wind, sweating and abrasion (like sand). And if you don't use enough of it, the actual SPF can shrink.

Your skin needs protection from damaging UVA/UVB rays every single day, rain or shine.

  • Burnout sunscreens rely on zinc oxide, which is a natural ingredient that becomes transparent as soon as you rub it into your skin.
  • Burnout is rich with antioxidant Vitamins C & E. If you are very active, you'll be happy to know that Clean and Clear is highly water-resistant and lightweight. It is PABA-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic so it is ideal if you have sensitive, oily and/or acne prone skin.

Burnout Clean and Clear is a physical sunscreen - not chemical. What's the difference?

Burnout Clean and Clear With Zinc Oxide - No Chalky Whitening

  • Chemical suncreens are designed to absorb rays whereas physical sunblocks reflect them. The debate against chemical sunscreens stems from studies indicating that they do not absorb both types of ultraviolet rays (UVA and UVB). There are also health concerns that have been expressed over the use of the synthetic compounds found in chemical sunscreens. On the other hand Burnout sunscreens rely on zinc oxide, which is a natural ingredient that becomes transparent as soon as you rub it into your skin. It will not leave a chalky whitness.
