To ensure that every hair gets a light coating, it is best to part your hair in two or three sections, securing the parts you’re not working on with a butterfly clip. If desired, spray the section of hair you are working on with a light misting of Phat Head No Knots Leave-In Moisturizing Mist and massage it in. Next, place a small amount of conditioning & styling oil in your palm and rub your hands together. If you are going to blow dry your hair, this conditioning & styling oil will provide protection against heat damage. Massage the conditioning & styling oil through your hair, in one direction only (downwards), smoothing the hair as you apply. Begin about an inch away from your scalp and smooth/massage in one direction only (downward). If you have curly hair, I HIGHLY recommend that you don’t comb the conditioning & styling oil through, but instead use your fingers. The stretching and subsequent retraction that takes place each time you run the comb through your hair encourages frizz. Use your fingers to take care of any tangles you run into. Ideally the only time you should comb your hair is in the shower when applying shampoo and or conditioner. You can also apply to dry hair, to add shine and luster. |
