Good Morning!! How is everyone doing? I know that a few of you are following along, but are too shy or busy or BOTH to post. That’s all right. It’s also all right if you “fall off the wagon”. Don’t beat yourself up about it! I want this to be fun for everyone.
Today is another REAL workout day, so remember: You need 25 minutes of aerobic activity plus some strengthening exercises. Pushups, sit-ups, tricep dips, bicep curls. Remember: You don’t need to go to a gym to workout! Nataly made an awesome point in yesterday’s blog: There are countless FREE workout programs on Net Flix, on-line. There are also a TON of workouts with various cable service providers On Demand… for FREE!
I hope every one is psyched about this weekend’s “spa day”! We’re going to do a facial and a deep conditioning hair treatment. Feel free to throw in a Mani Pedi, too. I will give you a recipe for a quick and delicious foot soak and scrub.
Since not everyone can post everyday, I am going to exclude that as a criterion for “the winner”. We’ll all vote on who has been the biggest… Bootyier at the end of the challenge. But, you know what? EVERY ONE wins because we’re all supporting one another and keeping each other company.
I’m going to give prizes to the top Three Bootyiers. I haven’t decided what the third prize will be, but it will be lovely. The first prize, as you know is an awesome brand spanking new PURPLE train case filled with Brendita’s Body Works products. I will give the second prize winner a train case, too, but it’s not new: It’s a silver one that I just emptied out a few days ago: Barely used, lovely and adorable as heck. I was keeping my mineral makeup in there, but I haven’t worn any face makeup in ages, so there’s no use in holding on to the case when someone else could enjoy it. It can be used for makeup, manicure supplies, pedicure supplies… whatever.

I did Water Aerobics today with my sorority sisters! It’s amazing how much of a workout it can be! I felt like I was just playing around, but I definetely notice a difference since I started doing it! I recommend it to anyone!
Also, I’ve been doing good with my “no french fries” goal for the week! I had yogurt for breakfast (gave me MUCH needed energy), salad for lunch, and ate mixed fruit for a snack! I HATE fruit, but figured I would try new things! I ate the grapes and pineapples, and though I tasted the cantaloupe and melon, I didn’t like them
I’m looking forward to spa time for the weekend! I’m exhausted!

MMP: I have been out of touch with yoga for quite some time. I do Hatha Yoga at the end of my workout (some times…). For a workout, you’re going to have to do a little research. There are all sorts of yoga now: Power Yoga, this & that yoga. Take a look and see which one sounds appealing.

And then like a dumbass I thought taxes were due the 20th and surprise! Haha so I did my taxes by myself for the first time ever and it only took me 20 minutes. So I had taco bell to celebrate LOL. A cheese quesadilla yummy and a chicken chalupa supreme and then a apple for a snack. I’m having spaghetti for dinner so ill have to watch my portions

I had Cream of Wheat and carrot juice/soy milk drink for breakfast. While I was waiting for the cereal to cook, I was doing squats in the kitchen. OK, my thighs felt like they were on fire!!!! I thought since I bike instead of drive, I was kinda in shape. <— JOKE OF THE DAY. I will definitely keep sneaking exercise into my idle times, thanks to that link you gave Brendita: http://www.squeezeitin.com/.
For lunch I had a fruit salad, green salad, and an OPLT (onions, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes). Yes, I made that sandwich up and yes, it's copywritten, so don't copy me. I also ate two chocolate cookies because I needed a chocolate fix. I brought apples and peanut butter with me to work, but I haven't eaten them yet. I'm going to hold out and wait until I get home to ea dinner. Maybe I'll make some pasta marinara. Last night I was lazy and ate a PB&J sandwich with soy milk, then snacked on avocados, matzos, and chocolate covered coffee beans. Oh, and I watched some TV, too, but I didn't do any exercises while watching
I will definitely do that tonight. I think I'll watch the videos here first, then try out YouTube.
for dinner, I had mixed organic veggies (mostly green but with myriad of other colored ones), butternut squash with scallions, lamb chop with organic cayenne pepper, some rose wine, fresh peppermint leaf, organic chamomile tea, and my various supplements. earlier I had an organic coconut popsicle bar, organic green tea with stevia, a gluten-free Thai yellow curry with rice organic veggies and tofu steaks.
I also, had some coconut milk yogurt and a small piece of a coconut Oskri bar, which is Kosher, K-Parve, Vegan, Lactose-free, and Gluten-free!
MMP: What kind of yoga was it? How long did you do it for. Yoga counts as strength training, as it REALLY works the muscles. It doesn’t count as cardio, though.

How is everyone and their families?
I had a probiotic, homemade organic soup, and then ate some angel food cake, lemon cake, and a cinnamon thing. The sweets were at a church ministry meeting, and I should’ve avoided them.
I’m at the library now, and I had a handful of raw almonds.
I plan to do some stress-busting yoga and exercises from Brendita’s YouTube when I get home.

Let’s see, I didnt do so great yesterday. I had a biscuit for breakfast (I had an obligation to feel and it was part of it, long story…) For lunch, I had a tuna sandwhich again, with almonds as a snack. For dinner I had a difficult to describe Dutch dish… it had beans, apples, carrots, potatoes, onion, and sausage in it served with mustard. I drank about 1/2 liter of green tea and a liter of plain water. I didn’t get to work out, but I did run around all day like a chicken with my head cut off so I was very active. That is actually something I’m trying to be more aware of. Instead of just sitting around when I’m waiting, I try to walk around (even if it’s just in circles or back and forth) stretch, do some jumping jacks ect. Just trying to stay in motion throughout the day, especially if it’s a busy day and I don’t think I’ll get to work out, or spend much time working out.
oh and HOORAY for WALNUTS!!! YUM!
Yay for day 4! As I’m not much of a tv watcher (just mostly because I get home so late and end up crashing into my bed!), I pulled up youtube on my laptop and found some great exercise routines! After about 20 minutes I started hearing all the old creaks and cracks from my joints roaring back to life..and I do mean roaring. I had to replay a portion of the video because my knee was being so rude and making all that noise! It will get back into form soon!
You can youtube just about everything…what you will likely get is a trainer that gives you a quick video summary of a workout, (exactly how Brendita does!)….so go for it!
It was a turkey sandwich for me last night….and I’ve noticed I’m getting used to drinking my water after I’ve eaten. I was a big “must have a gallon of drink along with my meal” type…but am purposely putting my drink out of eye shot or arms reach so I have to wait until I’m done eating.
I pampered my elbows with the sugar scrub…..my elbows are very happy with me!
