Happy MONDAY Everyone! We have one week behind us and three weeks ahead! Today, I want EVERYONE to workout! Do YOUR workout, whatever it is. You know the drill: Strengthening exercises, 25 minimum of cardio (aerobics) and some stretches.
Your meals should be evenly spaced apart. Why? So that you’re not ravenous by the end of the day. You should eat in “descending” order. Your largest meal at the beginning of the day to give you energy and allow you to burn off the calories as you go about your day to day activities. Ideally, fresh fruit to begin with, so that your empty stomach can use and absorb all the nutrients. The next meal should have a bit of protein and a bit of whole grains, for sustained energy. Cutting up fresh fruit the night before helps: That way it’s ready to go when you wake up. If you can make all of your “take along” food the night before, you have a better chance of sticking with your plan. Pre-pack raw nuts and dried fruits in small plastic containers or Ziploc bags. Make your breakfast the night before, so all you have to do is re-heat it or unwrap it. Pack your lunch before going to bed.
Water, water and more water! Make a big thermos full of green tea and bring it along with you. Not a fan of tea? Don’t force yourself to drink it: Drink plain water instead. Try to cut out artificial sweeteners. Get your taste bus used to the natural flavors of foods. NO DIET SODAS! Quench your thirst with water!

Green tea is excellent. If someone doesn’t like green tea, what about a herb tea, or raspberry tea. Green is the best, but anything that helps you drink more water is suitable.
Looks like things have gotten quiet since the forum opened up. I’m so sorry I haven’t checked in all this time. This week was so crazy! I’ve been having internet trouble at home since Sunday, so I didn’t see the spa ritual until 5 PM that day
If it’s fine within the Booty Camp rules, I’ll make it up this weekend, since I have nothing major planned.
This weekend I bought a bunch of fruit to make smoothies and have been drinking them every day for breakfast, as a drink for lunch, and a dessert for dinner. I use canned pineapples as the base/juice and add berries, nectarine, and lemon. I have The Juicing Bible that suggested adding flax seed to smoothies, so I tried that in my newest batch. It make the smoothie creamier, which was nice, but I intended it to be more tart/citrus-like. I have a pack of silken tofu that’s waiting to be used, so maybe my next batch will be creammy-based.
My office is still cold, as usual, so I constantly drink tea. I didn’t have time do as much exercise as I should have this week, but I snuck some in biking to the hospital and moving heavy furniture around my house.
I have to say that this Booty Camp has really helped me get my mornings in better shape: before I’d never eat breaktast—I just didn’t have (or rather, make) the time. But now that I’m focusing on eating more fruits, drinking a quick smoothie that I prepared the night before is easy. Since I’m down in the kitchen already, I make a quick bowl of cream of wheat as well. I know I’m going to continue to see improvement throughout this, thanks to everyone’s support and suggestions.

I’ve been eating grains with avocado oil, flax seeds, fish, beans, marshmallows (LOL), pureed veggies, supplements, flax seed oil, rice & corn puff snacks, raisins; drinking tea with stevia and coconut oil, maca root & rice milk shakes, coconut fruit bars, and water. As for exercise, I just have been running and walking.

My confession: I drink coffee when I wake up. Here’s what I do: Wake up, sleep walk to kitchen, turn on stove (espresso pot, Cas fills it at night before going to bed). Drink coffee. I get up at 3:45. After my workout, I drink 1.5 liters of water. Then I shower. Beginning TOMORROW, I am going to drink my juice first (also made the night before, in my Jack La Lane juicer). I’ll have green tea after I eat my fruit. My first meal (oatmeal and hard boiled egg) will be followed by green tea.
Phatty, do you eat breakfast before you drink your coffee?
Whoooooooooaaaa Nelly I missed a lot. UGH sick…boooo!!!! I’m slowly returning to normal…lots of tissues, cough drops and tea in my weekend.
